We Believe.
Core Truths
1. Holy Bible: Divinely inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Corinthians 1:12-13)
2. Triune God: One living and true God, existing in three distinct persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
3. Fall of Man: All humans are born with a sinful nature and are sinners by choice. (Romans 5:6-19)
4. Jesus Christ: Fully God and fully man yet without sin – died in our place and for our sins. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6-7; Colossians 1:19, 29)
5. Salvation: All who repent and trust Jesus Christ as Savior are made alive.
6. Baptism: A mark of our union with him and his body.
7. Holy Spirit: Tangible experience of God’s empowering presence – abides within all believers, setting them apart – guiding, strengthening, and teaching us.
8. The Church: Universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and local church – company of believers, tasked with making the good news of Jesus known to the world.
9. Lord’s Supper: An expression of our participation in his death and eternal life. (1 Corinthians 11:23-25)
10. Discipleship: Spirit-filled life and the ongoing work of the Spirit to transform the believer’s character. (Ephesians 4:13)
11. Last Things: Personal and visible return of Jesus to the earth to judge the living and the dead. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
We Value.
What’s Most Important
1. God’s Sovereignty: The center of gravity in the solar system of Christian truth – producing believers and churches that are humble yet confident.
2. God’s Grace: Grace declares that God’s love for us is unconditional, unchanging, and complete.
3. God’s Word & Holy Spirit: Preaching from the Bible, allowing the Holy Spirit to break in to guide us.
4. Worship: God’s character and loving commitment to us fuels a passionate response of worship.
5. Community: Develop honest and close relationships – committed to serve and care for each other, demonstrating the love of Jesus.
6. Mission: God has made all of us to be his ambassadors.
7. Prayer: God not only desires His people to pray, but He also hears and answers prayer.
8. Serving: we don’t serve to simply get a job done, but to imitate Christ.
9. Hospitality: Words, actions, and attitudes of love and acceptance towards others.
10. Generosity: God is generous – a giver not a taker.
11. Team Leadership: Leaders with various gifts serve His church as a team.
12. Servant Leadership: Jesus was willing to lay down His life for the sheep. Leaders in a church should do likewise.
