God-Honoring Life Change

At Jubilee we say our purpose is to Connect People to Jesus, Resulting in God-honoring Life Change. I love this purpose and have given my life to be a part of it. One thing that can be lost in this statement however, is the fact that my life is in constant need of ongoing God-honoring Life Change.

More Repenting. Less Regretting.

Coming to grips with your own sin can be very difficult. We are typically overwhelmed with feelings of sorrow and regret, which can be a good thing. After all, a lack of regret and sorrow would be consistent with a hard heart.

However, what we typically do with regret is focus on what we should have done differently and our remedy is to try “to do better next time.” The problem is that it happened and there’s no changing that and there’s no positive behavior that will undo what’s done.
